Do my friends need the app too?
To share a group, yes — they join with your invite link on iPhone and sign in for free. Splitting one bill on your own? Share the result as a message or image.
Does it work without internet?
Adding expenses does: Quick add saves on your phone and syncs the next time you open Settleo with a connection. Joining a group and fetching fresh exchange rates need a connection. How to track trip expenses with weak signal
How are exchange rates handled?
Add an expense in any of about 160 currencies. Settleo converts it to the group currency with the latest daily rate and locks that rate when you save. You can edit it to match your bank. Guide: travel expenses in multiple currencies
Is Settleo really free?
Yes. Receipt scanning, every split type, currencies, PDF export and reminders are free, with no ads. Settleo Pro ($3.99/month or $29.99/year) adds unlimited groups you create and spending by category.
Do I need an account?
Not to split a single bill. For shared groups, yes — sign in with Apple or an email code. You can delete your account anytime in Settings.
What happens when I hit 3 groups?
The free plan runs 3 active groups you create, and joining friends’ groups is unlimited. Archive a finished trip to free a slot, or upgrade to Pro.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. Settleo is iPhone-only for now, so friends need an iPhone to join a shared group.
